とうきょうでポケモンセンターに行きました。

おもしろい人がいました。この人は「Authentic Japanese Fish!」と話しました。
でも、みなさんがこの人は中国人だと思いました。。。

本やはちかの中にあります。3かい下に行きました。ちょっとこわかったです。でも。。。

ちか　basementとてもかわいいまんがを買いました。「チーズスイートホーム」といますです。

本はかんたんですから、私は本を読むことができます。かわいい物が大好きです。


It is possible to get used to the trains in Tokyo

Although Japan seems known for everyone trying their best to blend in, and not be noticed, there is a noticeable subculture (mostly young people but not entirely) doing exactly the opposite. Not sure if this is just within the cities though.

"Arcade" isn't a well-known term or concept outside of people who really enjoy video games and electronics.

Cultural Notes:
The deer on Miyajima island are a nuisance animal, they try to walk right into the shops!

There are monkeys up in the mountains, but I didn't get to see any.

The stationmasters know everything. Doesn't matter what you're looking for, they can help.

私たちはひろしまのいせきを見ました。ひげきな物でした。

はくぶつかんに行きました。むずかしかったです。

毎年、あたらしいスタイルがあります。おいしそう！

フェリーでみやじまに行きました。

夜海と大きいとりいはとてもきれいでした。

Cultural notes:

There is one structure left standing from the wreckage after the bombing of Hiroshima. They have opted to leave it in rememberance as the city grows around it.

You pay for buses as you get off, but you pay for trains before you get on.

Totoro is very popular, and can be found just about everywhere.

いい天気な時、きれいなかげがあります。

私ときんかくじです。

私はほとけにお金をあげていました。

私はかっこいいよ！

山でたくさんとりいがありました。クラスメートと私はハイキングをしましたけど。。。小さい山だと思いました。

つぎに、デレク君と私はビックカメラに行きました。たくさんかっこいい物を買いかったです。

When they say 1000 torii gates they mean it.

There were a lot of stray cats in the mountains and some areas with cat food strewn on the ground, we figured that the monks take care of the cats. They're not very nice kitties though...

The cellphones on display in stores are way cooler in Japan than ones on display in the US. Bulkier but way more awesome.

しんかんせんできょうとに行きました。きょうとはおもしろくって、きれいですけど。。ちょっと悪いにおいがします。。。きょうとはかんこうちです。

動物はライオンのように見えました。

このさかはきれいです。私の所に住んでいるにように見えます。

このキャンデイーはとてもおいしいです。「Spirited Away」でこのキャンデイを見えます。

きょうとでたくさんふるいたて物があります。
つぎに橋でホームレスが見えましたが、かわいい子猫飼いましたから、お金をあげました。

Cultural notes:

At the shrine there were school kids pushing eachother around to get at buying some "good luck in school" and "good luck on exams" charms

Shrines are a popular attraction for large groups of students, while museums seem to attract the young students and the older crowd.

Boys (even older ones) can have cute stuffed animals on their bags and cute cellphone charms without being considered effeminate.
